According to the agreement between the National Office of Intellectual Property (IP Vietnam) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), from December 1, 2019, the NOIP will officially use the filing system. online (ePCT) to transfer applications for invention of Vietnamese origin under the PCT Treaty.

By using this ePCT online filing system, the National Office of Intellectual Property will send the “RECORD COPY” to the International Office via electronic system instead of sending paper documents as they are done.
Through the ePCT online filing system, Vietnamese applicants will enjoy the following benefits:
1. When the applicant files through the National Office of Intellectual Property, the application will be forwarded to the International Office via the ePCT system quickly and accurately without having to pay the postal transfer fee to transfer the dossier. Profile to the International Bureau.
2. The National Office of Intellectual Property, International Bureau, Search Office and applicants conduct discussions through the online ePCT system.
3. Applicants can download documents, carry out procedures for changing names and addresses, withdrawing applications, etc. through the online system.
